St Catherine’s Hospice is delighted to be able to offer this exciting opportunity to join the hospice’s medical team as a Specialty Doctor (experience dependant). This opportunity comes at an exciting time for the hospice, which has expanded its well-regarded and highly-respected community Clinical Nurse Specialist team as well as launching a hospice at home pilot. This new post holder will work flexibly across clinical services and although primarily based on the inpatient unit, will have opportunities to develop community palliative medicine experience.
If you are caring, compassionate and committed to making a difference to those facing conditions like cancer, heart failure and motor neurone disease at one of the most poignant times in their lives, we want to hear from you. You will become a member of a highly motivated, multi-professional team focused on providing high quality, responsive care for patients and their families when and where they need it.
The successful candidates will be joining a established medical team at a pivotal moment – St Catherine’s being recognised as a University Hospice (one of only 4 we know about in the UK). This creates even more opportunities for placements at the hospice, staff development, and research and innovation, to improve palliative and end of life care
Other benefits include:
– Ample, free parking in the beautiful grounds of St Catherine’s Park when based at the hospice
– Access to training and development opportunities
– The opportunity to transfer an NHS pension
– Generous annual leave entitlement of 38 days per year (inclusive of Bank Holidays) full time
– Additional wellbeing day of leave on your birthday or nearest working day
– Generous study leave entitlement of 10 days per year (full time)
– Support with continued professional development
Successful candidates will be supported in continued professional development.
Please note we do not currently have a sponsorship license and the successful candidate will need to be able to provide evidence of right to work in the UK
