A-hoy there! Huntley’s pirate fun day raises cash for St Catherine’s
A pirate-themed family fun day at Huntley’s Country Stores raised £750 for St Catherine’s Hospice.
The event took place over the August Bank Holiday weekend, when their new pirate ship attraction was launched.
Other activities on the day included a treasure hunt, teddy tombola, face painting, balloon modelling and a fancy dress competition for all the little pirates and princesses. Peter Pan and Tinkerbell were also special guests , followed by live music performances.
The event also raised funds for Derian House Children’s Hospice.
Lynne Whittaker, senior fundraiser at St Catherine’s Hospice, thanked Huntley’s for their on-going support of the charity.
She said: “This is another brilliant donation from Huntley’s following their fantastic family fun day and is a wonderful thing to receive as we near the end of our 30th anniversary year.”
