A-Plan Insurance supports St Catherine’s with new donation scheme

A-Plan Insurance in Preston is delighted to announce an association with St Catherine’s Hospice following the branch opening in August.

A-Plan will donate £50 to St Catherine’s when someone takes out a new car, home or van policy and mentions the hospice. This money will help towards funding the round-the-clock care that patients and their loved ones receive at the hospice and the amazing work that the Clinical Nurse Specialists undertake in the community.

Branch Manager Joe Petherwick said: “Local is at the heart of everything we do here at A-Plan and supporting a fabulous charity like St Catherine’s is integral to that. Preston is a great location and being from Preston myself, I feel proud to support the essential work that the whole team at St Catherine’s continue to do, particularly during these challenging times.

“We hope that the donation scheme will be well supported, and the team and I look forward to attending St Catherine’s fundraising events too, as and when circumstances in society permit.”

Emma Jacovelli, head of community engagement at the Lostock Hall charity, said: “We’re thrilled to be teaming up with A-Plan Insurance and we’re so grateful for their wonderful support – the donation scheme is a great idea which has the potential to help fund our important work in the long-term, as we face the ongoing challenges and impact caused by the pandemic on our income generation activities.

“It’s great to hear that people are thinking outside of the box and coming up with new ways to fundraise for us during these difficult times, and we’re really looking forward to working with A-Plan Insurance now and in the future. I’d like to say a very big ‘thank you’ for their support!”
