Birthday present saw Angela take to the skies for St Catherine’s!
St Catherine’s supporter Angela Hamilton took to the skies to show her support for the hospice – after receiving the jump as a birthday present from her husband!
Angela’s husband Damian treated her to the place in the adrenaline-fuelled event and she decided to use it as an opportunity to raise funds for an important local charity.
In total she raised a fantastic £1,200 which will be used to support the specialised care of St Catherine’s Hospice.
Angela said: “Taking part in the skydive was fantastic – but it was a once in a life-time experience, I’m not sure I would do it again!
“I am delighted to have raised this money for St Catherine’s which is such a lovely place and which is a cause close to many people’s hearts in the local area. A big thank you goes to Damian for this unusual gift, and of course to all those who sponsored me.”
Emma Jacovelli, fundraiser at St Catherine’s Hospice, said: “We’re delighted to receive this fantastic total from Angela as a result of her brave skydive, and would like to say a big thank you to her for taking the plunge in aid of the hospice.
“The money will be used to help make a difference to local people in Chorley, Preston and South Ribble who are facing conditions like cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure. It will help us to be there offering our specialised care when it really maters most.”
