Brewery staff proud to support hospice
Staff from the Budweiser Brewing Group site in Samlesbury – a proud part of AB InBev – have pulled out all the stops in their support of St Catherine’s Hospice, donating an incredible £24,809.
Employees have raised funds for the Lostock Hall charity by hosting family fun days, as well as sponsoring the fantastic St Catherine’s Summer Ball.
Brewery Manager Stas Chulkov said: “At Budweiser Brewing Group, we are committed to supporting the communities in which our beers are brewed and enjoyed. Here at Samlesbury, we’re keen to give back to worthy causes in the area and are pleased to have such a great relationship with our local charity, St Catherine’s Hospice.”
Emma Jacovelli, Head of Community Engagement at St Catherine’s, said: “It has always been an absolute pleasure to work with Budweiser Brewing Group, and its staff have come up with lots of fun ways to raise funds for the hospice, as well as raising awareness of our important work.
“This amazing donation will really make a difference as we help local people affected by life-shortening illnesses to experience quality of life to the end of life.”
“I’d like to say a very big ‘thank you’ for the continued support, and I look forward to teaming up with the brewery in the future.”
She added: “There are all sorts of ways businesses can get involved with St Catherine’s, from holding bake sales and dress down days in the office, to hosting a fundraising stand in their shop, or taking on a team-building charity challenge such as our own sponsored events or other organised activities.”
