Final call to walk Morecambe Bay with St Catherine’s Hospice
There is still chance to take on the Morecambe Bay Walk challenge with St Catherine’s Hospice this month.
The charity has a limited number of places left for the eight-mile walk, as well as some seats available on a coach to transport walkers from the hospice in Lostock Hall to the start and finish points in Cumbria.
Anyone interested in signing up for the walk, which takes place on Saturday, 10th September, led by the Queen’s Guide to the Sands Cedric Robinson MBE, has until Thursday, 8th September to register.
St Catherine’s fundraiser Rochelle Crichton said: “We’re calling on our wonderful supporters to help us raise funds, whilst enjoying one of the country’s most popular scenic walks with spectacular panoramic views.
“Lots of people have signed up already, and this is the final call to anyone else wanting to take part and experience a walk to remember.”
Morecambe Bay Walk will begin at 11.15am at Arnside and finish at Kents Bank, taking around three hours to complete. The coach will leave St Catherine’s Hospice in Lostock Lane at 9am and will return at around 4pm.
Registration is £10 for adults and £5 for children, and the cost of a return journey on the coach is £10 per person.
