Golf club’s amazing efforts raise £4,200 for St Catherine’s!

Golfers from a Lancashire club swung into action and raised £4,200 to support the care of St Catherine’s Hospice.

Lady Captain of Fishwick Hall Golf Club Jan Harrison chose to support the charity during her year in post and organised a host of fundraising events throughout the year.

Members generously gave their support and in total generate an amazing £4,200, which will be used to fund the specialised services of St Catherine’s, helping people affected by life-shortening conditions to enjoy quality of life and have dignity in death.

Senior fundraiser Norman Cutler attended a recent charity ball at the club where he collected the proceeds.

He said: “We’re extremely grateful to Jan for her fantastic efforts over the past 12 months and for members of the club who have shown such generosity.

“The money will help us care for people in our local community when they really need it most.”
