Hospice receives generous donation from coffee morning held at Samlesbury War Memorial Hall
A coffee morning held at Samlesbury War Memorial Hall has raised an amazing £1,190 for St Catherine’s Hospice.
The event raised funds for the cause through a raffle, tombola, children’s corner, stalls selling second hand books and DVDs, and more. The fantastic raffle prizes included vouchers for a spa, restaurants, gin tour, and a gym.
Julia Dixon, Melanie Young, Imogen Young and Abigail Barton (pictured) helped organise the event, along with others.
Abigail said: “It was really good fun and made all the better as it helped support a worthy cause.
“We received some fantastic support from friends and family, and were delighted to be able to support a much-loved, local charity.”
Hayley Jackson, community engagement officer at St Catherine’s Hospice, said: “This was a wonderful community event which was enjoyed by everyone and raised a fantastic amount for our charity too. Thank you to everyone involved for your amazing support!”
