PAR Group took to the streets of Manchester to support St Catherine’s Hospice
A group of six employees took to the streets for the Great Manchester 10k in May, in aid of the hospice.
PAR Group, based in Chorley and Heywood, manufacture, process and supply plastic, insulation and rubber products to a wide range of industries.
Stuart Bailey said: “We’re delighted to have run on behalf of St Catherine’s Hospice, we always look to fundraise on behalf of charities close to us and yours is a worthy cause.”
Moral in the office was always high, with estimates of finishing times being made. This spurred the group on to continue their training.
Stuart added: “The race was difficult due to the heat, but the atmosphere was excellent with many people running for charity.”
“Our Chris Livesey is an elite level runner who finished the 10k in just over 33 minutes. The rest of us finished between that and approximately one hour 20 minutes.”
The group raised a total of £651.25 including gift aid.
