Patient Michael and patron Mark draw winning car raffle ticket
St Catherine’s patron and football legend Mark Lawrenson visited the hospice today, to draw the winning ticket for our annual car raffle.
He was joined by our patient Michael in announcing the winner; a man from the Fylde area, who will be contacted directly by our team.
This year’s prize, organised through the hospice lottery team, is an eye-catching MINI One 3-door Hatch, sponsored by Preston’s Bowker Motor Group.
More than 18,000 tickets have been sold, raising vital funds and helping us to continue providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care at the hospice and in the community.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this year’s car raffle – it makes a significant difference in our ongoing fundraising efforts and enables us to support local people with life-shortening illnesses to have quality of life, to the end of life.
Our special thanks also go to staff at St George’s Shopping Centre in Preston, who hosted the MINI and our volunteers for a week in July, boosting ticket sales further.
