Perfect pamper day raises vital funds!
An afternoon of pampering hosted by local stylists and therapists raised more than £200 for three charities, including St Catherine’s Hospice.
Susie Hughes and her friends organised the event, which saw guests treated to a 30 minute treatment, tea and cake in return for a donation.
In total the event raised £216 which will be shared between the hospice, Galloway’s Society for the Blind and The Busoga Trust, which provides wells in Uganda.
Curls, plaits and trims were provided by Debbie from Maddisons Fifty Seven, while Judy offered Indian head massage and reflexology. Julia was on hand to give back massages, Moya carried out Reiki, Juliet and Vicky did hair styling, Lily provided the make-up, and Susie was in charge of pedicures.
Susie said: “A big thank you goes to them all, as well as Maisie and Grace our eleven year old spa receptionists, and Kathleen and Enid from Devonshire Court for supporting us.
“The response was overwhelming and we’re delighted to have raised these much-needed funds whilst having such great fun!”
