Runner takes part in magical Disney marathon in memory of Nan
A talented runner completed a double marathon challenge around the spectacular surroundings of Disneyland to raise money for St Catherine’s Hospice!
Nick Joy ran both the Disney Half and the Disney Full Marathon over one magical weekend and raised more than £910 for St Catherine’s Hospice.
The 26.2 mile full marathon route was unlike any other – taking him through four Walt Disney theme parks – home of Disney favourites Mickey and Minnie Mouse – onto the ESPN Wide World of Sports, and past the Walt Disney World Speedway.
Nick, who completed the incredible challenge in memory of his Nan, said: ” It was an amazing weekend and was so glad I got to do it, although it was a hard couple of days!
“It felt great to be running in memory of my Nan and to help support St. Catherine’s.”
