Speed Medical staff choose St Catherine’s to benefit during 20th anniversary celebrations

Staff at Chorley-based Speed Medical have voted for St Catherine’s to benefit from donations made during the firm’s 20th anniversary celebrations.

The company hosted a fantastic day out for colleagues at Carden Park Hotel in Cheshire, where guests could choose to enjoy activities such as a Total Wipeout obstacle course, golf, or relax in the spa, followed by a black tie gala dinner where donations were made to the chosen charity.

Head of marketing at Speed Medical, Niki Proctor, said: “It was a really great day attended by 100 people who all had a fantastic time. We were so proud to be able to support St Catherine’s Hospice in this way, and we have more fundraising planned for the rest of the financial year.

“Staff nominated the hospice as our ‘charity of the year’, and it’s such a worthwhile cause. We’re also going to be taking part in the St Catherine’s Christmas Jumper Day on 14th December.”

Hayley Jackson, community engagement officer at St Catherine’s, said: “We’d like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to Speed Medical for donating an amazing £1,400 to the hospice from their 20th anniversary celebrations. They are also planning bake sales, and a ‘win a duvet day’ for staff to buy raffle tickets for the chance to win a day off work in January, so we’re looking forward to working with them more in 2019.”
