Tough Mudder challenge in memory of Kim
A doting niece and her step-mum will be putting themselves through an extreme obstacle course challenge to raise money for St Catherine’s Hospice in memory of their much-loved auntie and sister-in-law.
Gemma and Kate Ford will take part in the Tough Mudder event in Yorkshire – a gruelling 12-mile obstacle course covering rolling fields, dense woodlands, and sinking mud pools.
The daring duo wanted to do something to raise money for the hospice which cared for their auntie and sister-in-law Kim Hart, who died at St Catherine’s two years ago.
They said: “The care she received at St Catherine’s was dignified and compassionate in her final hours and so we have set a target to try and raise £500 towards this fantastic cause.”
Kate and Gemma are now training hard for the event which takes place on August 1st.
