Why not take part in the ultimate fitness challenge to support St Catherine’s?
Two friends have an organised the ultimate training session to raise money and support the work of St Catherine’s Hospice.
Fash Ferdowsian and Terry Uttley, both from Preston, are hosting the event to show their appreciation for the care provided to Fash’s father and Terry’s mother.
Fash, Assistant Head of Education at Bolton Wanderers FC, said: “We urge people to take part in the charity event as they would be helping to raise funds for a local cause.“My father and Terry’s mother, who were both battling with cancer, received excellent care and support from the hospice.”
The training session will involve gymnastics equipment and also consist of functional exercises including squats, press-ups, and lunges.
The first 20 people to complete the session will be awarded with a free T-shirt, which has been specifically designed for the event.
All funds raised from the event will allow St Catherine’s Hospice to continue offering specialised care to the people of Chorley, Longridge, Preston and South Ribble who are living with life-limiting illnesses.
Fash added: “We feel it would only be right to give something back and so that other families in the future will be able to receive the excellent care our family members did.”
The session will be held at the impressive City of Preston Gymnastics Club, Campbell St, PR1 5LX and entry is £10 on the door.
Participants must be aged 14 and over with any fitness level or ability.
