Placements
St Catherine’s Hospice is a leader in End of Life and Palliative Care and we support the development of health sector professionals through our wide ranging placement opportunities.
We take trainee nurses, doctors, complementary therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and social workers on placement all year round as well as professionals already working in the health sector who want to learn more about specialist palliative and end of life care.
Placements may last from half a day right up to six months or more and it’s an ideal way to gain a good insight into what hospice care is really about.
“This placement I consider was my introduction to nursing at its best.
I will take so many positives from my experience at the hospice and felt extremely privileged to be part of the nursing team.” – Student Nurse
