May our wonderful Dad/ Husband / Grandfather, Great grandfather now rest in peace – we love you.

We are all so very proud of Dad’s courage, strength and positivity, especially over the last few months, which have been very difficult. He has been an inspiration to us all.

Thank you to all family and friends for your heartfelt support and prayers over the last few months.

We would like to give a special thanks to St Catherine’s Hospice and the Community Palliative Team for their undivided compassion, care and support over the past few months. Dad’s jovial character led to many fun conversations with the staff during his care and it was a great support to the whole family. We all developed a very special bond, and we cannot thank them enough for this.

It was dad’s and the family’s wishes that any donations or tributes could be made to this amazing charity in lieu of flowers. Their support to dad and all of our family has had a great impact on our lives during this challenging period. Thank you.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional staff who provided care for my beloved uncle. All who knew him will deeply miss his kindness, warmth, and remarkable sense of humour. He had a special fondness for children, and I will cherish the memories of him affectionately calling me ‘son.’ Although we all wanted him to remain with us, god must have needed him far more.
